The leaves make a very pretty cranberry tea. I'm in central Florida. When we're getting a cold spurt I pluck the bush out, stick it in a pot and keep it on my protected porch. My one plant is on its third year and is high as the gutters on the house👍

No. The rose mallow is Hibiscus moscheutos. The false roselle is Hibiscus acetosella.

I just googled it and the Carolina bristle mallow flower looks exactly like the one I described, so it could be that, thanks :)

The name is not familiar but have you looked up the Carolina bristlemallow?

One trailing weed with a pretty flower goes by the name of red-flowered mallow. The flower is actually salmon-orange in colour and really tiny and I wonder if it is a mallow at all though it has very small, mallow-like leaves. Do you know this plant and is it edible?

Green Deane another awesome video. If you happened to compile all the plant information you have on your website into a book I would purchase it. Eating the weeds is an awesome way to save on the grocery bill. Thanx for the videos.

@as8566 Perhaps you have a variety of the Rose of Sharon, a very close relative.

@G8trGirl100 I don't see why one couldn't make a tea from the false roselle. It would be tart, though.

Thank you for your kind words. It's a one man operation and my cinematography leaves much to be desired.
